Pippi Longstocking
For the birthday of a board member the Oetinger Verlag – the publishing house that hosts the books of Astrid Lindgren – orders a Pippi Longstocking based on the illustrations of the book.
With the relaunch of the books the illustrations have been changed, too, and a smarter, more childish and funnier Pippi moved into the book of the world’s most known writer of children literature. Those and the detailed profile of the Swede are blueprint for the marionette that the publishing house wants to give away.
The excitement is big enough so that the Dressler Verlag, a publishing house of the same incorporation group wants a puppet of Dustfinger, a character of Cornelia Funke’s ‘inkheart’.
