Wonderful Weekend in Hitzacker

On the last day of the International Festival of Marionettes in Hitzacker at the river Elbe we have been invited to represent the MarionettenWerkstatt.
Of course we took the opportunity and visited some highly professional plays.
Our favorite: “Der eingebildete Kranke” (The Imaginary Invalid) played by the Ambrella Figurentheater, a remarkable play for adults.
Also mentionable is “Maison des Marionettes” of the tirelessly Dr. Fortmann. He and his team made festival possible with big personal efforts. A cafe and a house with more than 1,000 puppets and its own theatre is surely worth visiting.
